Interesting Note On Samoa Joe’s Suspension From WWE

That’s kind of last minute. There are a lot of different parts to any given WWE show. With so many things going on every single week, it is clear that they have to do several things to keep the shows running. A lot of this comes from the creative staff, who help put things together over the course of the night. That being said, they can’t be quite as effective if they are not given access to some important information, which was the case this week.

Earlier this week, some interesting news broke when Samoa Joe was suspended for thirty days due to a violation of WWE’s Wellness Policy. This came a few weeks after he was rumored to have been suspended, only to see him return to action. While it is still not clear what exactly happened, Samoa Joe will be gone for the time being. However, one important group found out at the same time the fans did.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE Creative was not told about Samoa Joe’s suspension until WWE announced it publicly on Tuesday. There is no word on why the delay took place, but it is likely that only Vince McMahon and Triple H knew about the suspension until it was publicly announced. Samoa Joe’s suspension will end in late March and, assuming he is healthy, he would be able to work WrestleMania 36.

Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on with this but you would think that WWE would let its creative department in on something like this. They kind of need to know that Samoa Joe will be gone for at least a month, but maybe they were already under that assumption due to his injury. Either way, it is kind of an odd move and I’m not sure what WWE gained by not mentioning it internally.
