There could have been more. Every now and then you get to see a special wrestling show with something that does not happen very often. These can make for some of the best shows that you are going to get to see, if nothing else just due to how much extra interest you can have in a show. That was the case this week, but it turns out that something was left out.
This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite featured the Blood & Guts match. The match, which was the company’s version of WarGames, ran over thirty four minutes. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the match was originally going to run even four minutes longer, but some of the time was cut off during the earlier periods. There is a chance that the time was cut due to the Kenny Omega promo before the match running long.
It was a big match. Check out what went down in and out of the cage:
Opinion: This is the kind of detail that makes you wonder how the match could have gone. The match worked rather well while it lasted but a few more minutes could have fleshed things out a little bit more. If nothing else, it might have allowed for some better and more memorable moments, which is what a match like this is remembered for. Maybe we get another one down the road, as this was quite a success.
What did you think of the match? Would more time have helped? Let us know in the comments below.
