They’re back. The Women’s Revolution has changed the way women’s wrestling works in WWE but it is not the only place to prominently feature women. The Impact Wrestling Knockouts were doing that a long time before WWE did just the same thing and even had some of the same concepts. One of those concepts is being brought out of mothballs early next year.

One of the most necessary parts of a women’s division is depth, as there is only so much that can be done without having a lot of people available. That is the case with both the WWE and Impact Wrestling’s women’s divisions, but there is one thing that WWE has that Impact Wrestling is lacking. That was not the case before, and after January, it won’t be the case any longer.

During Saturday’s Bound For Glory pay per view, Impact Wrestling announced the return of the Knockouts Tag Team Titles. The titles will return at Impact Wrestling’s next pay per view, Hard To Kill, which will take place on January 16, 2021. It is not clear how the new champions will be crowned. The Knockouts Tag Team Titles were originally active from September 2009 until June 2013.

This is a big deal. Check out what is being brought back:

Opinion: I know a lot of people are going to say that this is ripping off WWE, but when you are bringing titles back instead of debuting them, is it really that much of a rip off? I’m not sure what this is going to mean for Impact Wrestling or if they have the roster to support the titles, but it should be nice to see them back after such a long hiatus. A lot has changed since then and hopefully they have enough to make this work.
