Oh yes. If there’s one thing “NXT” knows how to do, it’s bring in major stars who have been making a big splash on the independent scene. In their latest talent acquisition, they’ve brought in a name who might be familiar to some of the older “NXT” fans. It’s such a big deal that they’ve already put up a video of the debut on the official WWE YouTube channel.

Yes it’s Kassius Ohno, who was better known on the indy scene as Chris Hero. This isn’t Ohno’s first run in “NXT” as he wrestled there in 2013 with his last match for the promotion coming in November of that year. Since then, Hero has made an even bigger name for himself on the indy scene than usual with some very well received performances in Evolve and PWG.  This return was rumored a few weeks back so this isn’t the biggest surprise in the world.

I’ve only kind of followed Hero’s career outside of “NXT” and it should be interesting to see if he can live up to the hype. His initial run wasn’t the best but if he’s gotten that much better in the three years since, there’s nothing wrong with bringing him back into the fold. If we get a great match out of Nakamura down in Orlando over the big weekend, so be it.
