The class keeps growing. We are coming up on one of the coolest nights of the wrestling year with the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. That is the kind of thing that you don’t get to see very often and it is fascinating to see all of the talent in one place. The speeches are not the most interesting a lot of the time but the fun part is seeing who will be added to the class. Now we might know another name.

Every now and then, you see a wrestler jump from the middle of the card to the main event scene and that is the kind of thing that can cause some issues. Sometimes it is a big hit and a success, but other times you get a bad situation that is little more than a disaster. You can cite a variety of examples of both sides, but one of the names often considered more negative might be getting a pretty big career honor.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, John Bradshaw Layfield will be part of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2020. Layfield wrestled for the company from 1995 until 2009, winning a variety of titles during his career, including the WWE Championship in 2004. He then moved on to commentary and makes sporadic appearances on major shows to this day. There is no word on who would induct Layfield.

Layfield was around for a long time. Check out some of his better moments:

Opinion: This is one of those entries that should have taken place a long time ago. I know Layfield isn’t the most popular names in the world but he has a great resume and was a top heel for several years. It makes sense to put him in the Hall of Fame and celebrate his career, which was quite long and decorated. There are far worse names to include and really, Layfield should have been in already.

Is Layfield a Hall of Famer? Who should induct him? Let us know in the comments below.
