It happens to everyone. There are all kinds of injuries that can take place in wrestling and that is a horrible reality that the wrestlers have to face. At the end of the day, no amount of training is going to allow you to be able to be completely safe. Sometimes an injury takes place in the blink of an eye, but others can build up over time. The latter seems to be the case again but you might not have noticed it.
Since its inception, AEW has put a focus on tag team wrestling. The promotion has more tag teams than almost any other company and have an incredibly deep tag team division. That has allowed them to do all kinds of different things that they would not be able to make work otherwise. However, one of their more prominent tag team wrestlers is a little bit banged up.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW’s Dax Harwood has been wrestling with an injured elbow for about six weeks. The elbow was taped up in his most recent match and it is not clear if he will need time off. Harwood is continuing through the injury as he did not want to miss the chance to team with Tully Blanchard in a match in March. There is no word on how the injury took place.
The team has done well otherwise. Check out how FTR has been doing as of late:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that is going to happen to almost everyone no matter what they do and that is too bad. Every wrestler is going to get injured, or at least banged up, at some point. Thankfully Harwood has been able to stay in the ring because FTR has been put in a pretty prominent role as part of the Pinnacle. I could go for more of them, and that is going to require Harwood to be healthy.
