The big welcome back. The WWE Women’s Revolution has changed the way women’s wrestling works in the company in a very good way. Above all else, women are now treated as stars instead of people who are just there for an addition to the card. This has mainly been the case due to a handful of women and now some of those women might be involved in a pretty cool WrestleMania moment.

Out of all of the women involved in the Women’s Revolution, none have reached a higher level than Becky Lynch. Not only has she won all kinds of titles, but she headlined WrestleMania 35 by winning both the Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Women’s Titles. That is quite the accomplishment and a big reason why she is the biggest women’s star of all time. Lynch has not wrestled in more than a year due to maternity leave, but that might be about to change.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is a chance that Lynch will be making her return at WrestleMania 37. Should she return, the plan would see her driving a semi truck into the stadium to interrupt an edition of Bayley’s Ding Dong Hello talk show segment. This is not yet confirmed for the show and Bayley has not been advertised for either night of WrestleMania. Lynch also drove a semi truck to the stadium for her match at WrestleMania 36.

Lynch has not wrestled since last year at WrestleMania 36 when she successfully defended the Raw Women’s Title against Shayna Baszler. She vacated the championship the night after Money in the Bank in April upon announcing her pregnancy, making Asuka the champion in the process. WWE President Nick Khan said that she would be returning sooner than people expected.

Bayley has not wrestled since the February 19 edition of SmackDown and it is not clear why she has been out of the ring for so long. She has occasionally hosted the Ding Dong Hello talk show on SmackDown over the last few months. There is no word on when she will be back in the ring. Bayley and Lynch have only had one singles match against each other on the main roster.

They do have some history. Check out Lynch and Bayley together and apart:

Bayley unleashes on Lynch during Women’s Champions Showcase: Raw, Sept. 2, 2019

A “Ding Dong, Hello!” confrontation leads to an impromptu match: SmackDown, Feb. 19, 2021

Becky Lynch chooses Ronda Rousey as her WrestleMania opponent: Raw, Jan. 28, 2019

Opinion: This could certainly be an interesting way to go as it is a genuinely fresh feud for a change. Bayley has been the best thing about the SmackDown women’s division for the last year plus and it would be interesting to see her against Lynch. I don’t know how much of a mystery there is to the result, but it would certainly be a nice way for Lynch to get her feet wet again.
