Teddy Long would be proud. Last night’s episode of “Monday Night Raw” gave us a variety of changes to the roster as several “Smackdown Live” talents jumped over to their red counterpart. You wouldn’t know it based on last night’s dark match results though as it was an all “Monday Night Raw” affair.
Last night’s show ended with Chris Jericho giving Kevin Owens a Codebreaker to send the United States Champion running off. According to Wrestlinginc.com,
this was followed by Samoa Joe attacking Jericho, which drew out Seth Rollins for a tag match. Rollins pinned Samoa Joe with a jumping knee instead of the Pedigree.
Opinion: This is about as good as you could get with the bigger names on hiatus. I’d rather see a match like this instead of Big Show taking an F5 after answering an open challenge. There’s nothing wrong with a fun dark match to send the fans home happy and makes Rollins seem like a bigger deal at the same time.
