The new way out. WWE’s television is not being well received at the moment. The audiences have been very low as of late and they don’t show any sign of dramatic improvement any time soon. WWE has tried a variety of ways to bring up the ratings with few of them actually working. Therefore, it’s time to try something else, which has already taken place.
According to Fightful.com, WWE is attempting to make the third hour of Monday Night Raw feel a bit grittier to make it stand out from the rest of the show. This change began on this week’s show, which featured a different look for the Titantron and mats. There is no word on if the change will see the wrestling content be featured any differently, though Mick Foley’s unveiling of the 24/7 Title kicked off the third hour and showcased the change.
Here’s how it got started. Check out the debut of the new third hour:
Opinion: This has been one of WWE’s trademarks of late: don’t actually make that big of a change and just mess with the presentation a little bit. You wouldn’t have know that this week’s third hour was supposed to have been different as, aside from the look, it was virtually the same show it always is. That’s not a good way to change things and it feels like the cheap way out.
