That’s a weird one. WWE has been around for over sixty years now and the company has undergone a variety of changes throughout that time. There have been certain rules that have been enacted and then repealed at one point or another, some of which might not make the most sense. That seems to be the case again, as a rule from a previous era appears to have been dropped.

According to WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross on his Grilling JR podcast, WWE previously had a rule about performers not wearing white on camera, as it “does something with the cameras”. However, the rule has since been dropped due to advances in technology that prevent such issues. This was evident as recently as last Saturday when CM Punk returned to WWE in a plain white shirt.

Opinion: There is something interesting about these random factoids that most people would not know from outside WWE. While technology has since made such issues a thing of the past, it made sense back in the day for a rule like this to be necessary. It’s nice to see that things have changed though, as it does allow a slightly new set of options for wrestlers to use.
