Keep In Line: CM Punk Reportedly Has Special Clause In New WWE Contract

That’s one way to deal with him. The biggest wrestling story of the week has been the return of CM Punk to WWE. Following a nearly ten year absence, Punk returned to the company at Survivor Series and has since appeared on Monday Night Raw. This comes following a string of issues for Punk over the years, but WWE might have an idea of how to deal with him.

According to Fightful Select, Punk was said to be on his best behavior this week at Monday Night Raw and was described as being incredibly friendly with everyone. One source claimed that Punk has a “behavior clause” in his new deal with WWE, though this has not been confirmed to be true. Punk was fired from AEW over a series of backstage issues behind the scenes.

Opinion: I’m not sure if Punk has this kind of a clause included in his contract but it wouldn’t be the worst idea. Punk was literally just fired from the other major wrestling promotion over backstage behavioral issues so putting something like this in his deal makes sense. For now though, Punk seems to be off to a nice start, though now we have to see how long that lasts.
