The card keeps growing. We’re less than two weeks away from Super ShowDown and the card is starting to come together. There are several title matches already set, plus a few non-title matches that look interesting. With those out of the way though, there are still a few things that need to be taken care of. One of those things was dealt with on Monday Night.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Baron Corbin won a four way elimination match to become #1 contender to the Universal Title at Super ShowDown. The match also included Bobby Lashley, Braun Strowman and the Miz, with Corbin pinning the Miz to win. Strowman and Lashley were eliminated while brawling in the crowd, despite the match not having countouts.
Here’s what you might be getting in the buildup. Check out some of Rollins vs. Corbin from last year:
Opinion: As confusing as the one fall win in an elimination match was, I’m more disturbed by Corbin becoming a main eventer. I’m sure this will be the first of many title shots for him as he has main evented several episodes of Monday Night Raw since WrestleMania 35. For the life of me I don’t get what WWE sees in him, but we’re not escaping his push no matter what happens, for reasons I don’t think I want to understand.
