They do love their tournaments. There are a lot of names in the history of WWE and some of them are legends anywhere in the industry. Some are legends on a single show though and that is the case with SmackDown Live. WWE has announced the SmackDown Greatest Superstar Tournament, an online competition to determine the biggest star in the history of the show. There are thirty two names, seeded by their win/loss record on the show, entered into the bracket, which is divided up into four regions named after past authority figures. The tournament will be held on WWE’s social media platforms with the winner being named next Friday before SmackDown Live makes its debut on FOX.
It’s going to be a big night. Check out the promo for the special show:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can be a blast to get lost in, though you never can tell who might wind up winning the whole thing. While SmackDown Live has always been the secondary show, it certainly should be remembered in a way like this.
