Things have changed. There have been a lot of changes throughout the wrestling world this year and nothing has come close to Vince McMahon retiring from WWE. Following McMahon’s retirement from WWE, Triple H became one of the powerful names in the company. Former WWE star CJ Perry, known as Lana during her time in the company, spoke with Wrestlinginc.com, spoke about the differences between the two. Perry said that Triple H had given women opportunities as a manager, while McMahon was “more traditional”. According to Perry, McMahon almost did not let her manage Miro (Rusev in WWE) because ‘a hot girl can’t be with a heel guy, or he’ll get cheered’. Perry and Miro worked together from 2014-17 before Perry was paired with Bobby Lashley before being released.

Opinion: It makes sense that McMahon is more traditional, as he had run WWE for so many years over several different generations. McMahon had a style that he felt worked best and that is not going to be what works for Triple H. Ultimately McMahon did let Perry and Miro be paired together and it was a success, but it could have been interesting to see how it went under Triple H.
What do you think of Perry’s comparison? Will she return to a major wrestling promotion? Let us know in the comments below.
