First Entrant Announced for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

We need a new list. One of the younger Wrestlemania traditions is the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Started back in 2014, the match is a way to get a bunch of names on the Wrestlemania card, even if it’s just the pre-show. One of the big questions is who gets to be in the match and now we have the first name announced.

This week on “Smackdown Live”, Mojo Rawley announced his intentions to enter the battle royal before anyone else. Rawley talked about watching Zack Ryder win the Intercontinental Title last year at “Wrestlemania XXXII” and wanting his own Wrestlemania moment. No other names have been announced for the inter-promotional battle royal.

Opinion: I know it’s one of those matches where you put everyone else in for the sake of making sure everyone gets on the card but I still get excited when I hear about it. Rawley has no chance of winning but people saying they want to be in this match makes it feel more important than it would otherwise.
