Dang it Jinder. One of the big stories coming out of the post-Wrestlemania episode of “Monday Night Raw” was the return of Finn Balor after a long layoff due to a should injury. Balor was in the main event of his first show back and then fought Jinder Mahal last night in a singles match. Things went bad in a hurry.
During last night’s match, Mahal hit Balor square in the jaw with a very hard right hand/forearm to the jaw. According to PWInsider.com,
the shot gave Balor a concussion and has put him on the shelf. There is no word on how long he’ll be out and WWE has not acknowledged the injury as of yet. Mahal debuted on “Smackdown Live” the following night.
Opinion: I really hope this isn’t anything long term as A, you never want to see someone get hurt and B, Balor just can’t seem to stay healthy on the main roster. There’s no doubt that he can go but you don’t want to see him get labeled as someone who is too injury prone to be trusted. That really was one heck of a shot from Mahal and looking back, the injury doesn’t surprise me.
