That’ll do it. Every now and then you see a wrestler who destroys their own career step by step and there is little that can be done to stop it. Then sometimes you see a wrestler doing all kinds of things and wrecking everything they can in one big move after another. That was the case with a recent WWE release and now we know what seems to have been the final straw.

Earlier this week, news broke that Lars Sullivan was gone from WWE, wrapping up a rather tumultuous career with the company. Sullivan had only wrestled on the main roster a handful of times, partially due to a horrible knee injury. However, Sullivan also had one controversy after another and it seemed that his days were numbered. There is now one more issue that seemed to seal his fate.

According to Dave Meltzer on the F4WOnline forums, Sullivan no showed WWE television tapings before his release. There is no word on which tapings Sullivan no showed, though he has not appeared on WWE television since November when he appeared in some sitdown interviews. Sullivan only wrestled four televised matches on the main roster, with over a year in between due to a knee injury.

Leave the memories alone. Check out Sullivan’s last match in WWE:

Shorty G. vs. Lars Sullivan: SmackDown, Oct. 23, 2020

Opinion: I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen someone fall apart like Sullivan. You can see all of the potential in him but at the end of the day, there are only so many chances. Sullivan had one controversy after another and at some point, you just run out of chances. That seemed to be the case a long time ago and having him not show up at television is too far. I’m not sure what happened to cause him to miss TV, but when you add in everything else that has happened, it is kind of hard to ignore.
