He could be worth another look. One of the major perks about the Royal Rumble is getting to see someone who might not otherwise get the spotlight. WWE can present someone the fans have not seen in a little while and find out what kind of mileage they could still get out of that someone. In rare occasions, it is a long awaited return, which was certainly the case this weekend.

With so many wrestlers having come and gone from WWE over the years, it can be easy to forget how good some of the past names were. That makes a return such a nice moment, as you have a mixture of nostalgia/valid hope future because someone might have a new lease on their career. That took place at this year’s Royal Rumble and now one of the wrestlers might have a future.

According to PWInsider.com, Carlito, who returned to WWE after a ten year absence at this year’s Royal Rumble, has yet to sign a contract with the company but is likely to at any time. WWE was pleased with both his work and his ring shape when he returned on Sunday. In addition, according to Wrestling Inc., Carlito is on a three week trial run with WWE and MVP pushed for him to be brought in as either a wrestler or a producer. Carlito wrestled in a tag match on this week’s Monday Night Raw, teaming with Jeff Hardy to defeat Elias and Jaxson Ryker.

It worked for now. Check out how Carlito’s Monday Night Raw return went:

Opinion: I’m not surprised at all by this as Carlito looked great on Sunday and if he has gotten in that kind of physical shape, there is a good reason to believe that he could put in that kind of effort to get better in the ring as well. If Carlito can help WWE out, he is certainly worth a shot as you can always bring in more talent. I was impressed by Carlito in his two appearances so far so hopefully he can keep it up.
