A SmackDown tag team sandwich. WWE is in an interesting place at the moment with one thing after another being changed in an attempt to make their television better. While their success rate is a debatable point, one thing that is clear is how much talent they are trying to juggle to keep them appearing. Dark matches can help with that and two such matches got a lot of people on the show this week.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, this week’s SmackDown Live featured a tag team dark match both before and after the cameras started rolling. Before the show, Heavy Machinery defeated Jinder Mahal and Shelton Benjamin in the same match that took place from two weeks ago. After the show was over, the IIconics successfully defended the Women’s Tag Team Titles against the Kabuki Warriors via disqualification.
The IIconics were busy this week. Check out their interruption on Monday Night Raw:
Opinion: I can understand that a lot of people can’t get put on the television shows, but it isn’t a good sign when you have eight people involved in two dark matches and even then there are so many not getting TV time. It’s a problem WWE needs to solve as there are far too many people left standing around doing nothing while others get so much time. Figure this out already because it’s become a major issue.
Which of these matches sounds better? Which of these people should be on television more often? Let us know in the comments below.
