For the first time ever. Earlier this year, WWE Monday Night Raw celebrated thirty years on the air, which is a remarkable accomplishment for a wrestling show, or any television series for that matter. All kinds of things have taken place on the show over the year and it is all the more impressive when something happens for the first time. That took place this year, though it was more for an absence than anything else.

The main event of this week’s Monday Night Raw saw Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso defeat Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to retain the WWE Tag Team Titles. According to Wrestling Stats & Info on Twitter, the titles being retained means we have gone one full year without a men’s title changing hands on Monday Night Raw. This is the longest such streak in the history of the show. The most recent men’s title change on Monday Night Raw took place on October 10, 2022 when Seth Rollins defeated Bobby Lashley to win the United States Title. Women’s titles have changed hands six times during that span.
If it doesn’t happen this coming Monday, we’ll have gone a full calendar year without a men’s championship changing hands on #WWERaw. There’ve been 6 Raw matches where new women champs have been crowned in that span.
It’s the longest time w/o a men’s title change in Raw history.

It was a busy show. Check out something from this week’s Monday Night Raw:
Opinion: There is something amazing about the fact that despite Monday Night Raw being on the air longer than a lot of fans have been alive, they can still manage to have something new happen. At the same time, it shows that some things have changed when it comes to title switches. Titles do not change hands nearly as often these days and that makes things more interesting, at least in some way.
