Welcome back! There is something special about a return in wrestling, especially if it is something a long time in the making. It is rather cool to see someone back after a long time away and if they are someone the fans want to see, things are even better. That was the situation again this weekend, as a former champion made a surprise return to help out some friends.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: And New Times Two! WWE And AEW Crown New Champions On The Same Night

Former WWE United States and Intercontinental Champion Carlito made a surprise return to WWE this weekend at Fastlane, teaming with Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar to defeat Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits in a six man tag. This was Carlito’s first appearance since earlier this year at Backlash when he helped Bad Bunny defeat Damian Priest. Carlito replaced an unspecified member of the LWO after Lashley and the Street Profits took them out the previous night on SmackDown.

This should be good. Check out Carlito’s return, plus his time in WWE:

Opinion: This was one of those returns that was kind of figured out in advance but it was still a cool moment. Carlito is someone who made quite the mark in WWE over the course of his career but then left for a long time. It’s cool to have him back and now we get to see what he is able to do, especially with some of his friends by his side as he is apparently part of the LWO.
