He’s gone. There have been a lot of changes in WWE in recent weeks as the company is now under the control of Endeavor and is being merged together with UFC under the TKO banner. Several names, both from in front of the camera and behind the scenes, have departed the company, many of which without wanting to do so. Now another longtime name has left, but this was more his idea.

According to PWInsider.com, longtime WWE employee Rich Hering has left WWE, following a 50+ year career with the company. Hering was Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Risk Management and received the WWE’s Warrior Award at the 2021 Hall Of Fame ceremony. Hering is said to have left the company on his own, with no influence from Endeavor and he was not let go.

You might not know him very well. Check out some of his few WWE appearances (he’s the minister):

Opinion: It is nice to see Hering getting to leave on his own terms as a lot of people do not have that kind of luxury. Things have been changing rather quickly in WWE as of late and it would have been rough to see someone leave the company after that kind of a career. Hering has been around probably as long as almost any employee in WWE history and that is quite the accomplishment to come to an end.
