We have a headliner. Since 2018, WWE has run a series of events in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The company has had a relationship with the country’s government that pays them tens of millions of dollars a year to run major shows in the country, with most years seeing two such shows. WWE has announced the next event, which will take place next month. We now have one of the show’s biggest matches announced.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Farewell? 46 Year Old Former WWE Champion Removed From Active Roster

This week on Monday Night Raw, Drew McIntyre interrupted World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and requested a title shot. McIntyre said that he wanted to give Rollins advance notice and allow him to be at 100% before requesting the shot at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 4. Rollins accepted the match and it was made official. Following the agreement, Rollins was attacked by Damian Priest but McIntyre interrupted an attempted Money In The Bank cash-in.

This should be good. Check out the segment, plus the two in action:

Opinion: This is the kind of match that you need on a show like Crown Jewel as McIntyre is a big enough star to be a serious threat to the title. It likely won’t headline the show if Roman Reigns is around, but at least they’ll likely have a heck of a show as they’ve had chemistry together in the past. I’m interested in seeing where it’s going so they’re at least off to a strong start.

What do you think of the match? Who leaves with the title? Let us know in the comments below.
