That’s a new one. The Wednesday Night Wars have been an interesting twist on wrestling television and something that a lot of wrestling fans have been wanting to see for a long time now. Both NXT and AEW Dynamite have become more interesting shows to watch and that is a very nice thing to see. Later this month, fans will get to see them in a way they have not seen before.

In the first year and two months, AEW Dynamite has mostly dominated NXT in both the ratings and viewership numbers. There have been a few wins for NXT here and there, but they have been playing catch up for most of the time. Part of that has to do with NXT being available the next day on the WWE Network, meaning there is less of a reason to watch NXT when the shows are both airing. That will not be a problem later this month.

Earlier this week, AEW announced that the NBA on TNT will cause the December 23 edition of Dynamite to be moved to a different time slot after the basketball game. This will cause the show to start at around 10pm – 10:30pm EST, putting it on after NXT goes off the air. According to PWInsider.com, this will mark the first time that NXT will air directly before Dynamite with little to no time between them.

Both shows worked well this week. Check out what is going to be scheduled in a strange way on December 23:

Opinion: This could be interesting for a change as Dynamite has dominated the nights when the shows are up against each other. I’m not sure if that is going to be the case when NXT is there on its own for a change. NXT is a rather strong show on its own and it will be nice to not have to jump back and forth between the two shows for a change. It makes things exciting, but it can also make it annoying when you have to change back and forth so frequently.
