Keep things moving like a champion. This has been a rather crazy year for everyone, with wrestling being no different. WWE in particular has dealt with all kinds of changes, some of which are much more prominent than others. One of the biggest involved a huge roster shakeup back in April, when dozens of wrestlers were released from the company. Several of them have moved on, and now one will be doing so all over again.

Over the last few years, there have been very few cases as curious as that of EC3, who debuted in NXT back in 2018 and was called up to the main roster early in the following year. EC3 never had a real chance to prove himself before being released from WWE and it never made a ton of sense. He has since moved on to Impact Wrestling and Ring of Honor, but that might be changing again.

EC3 was recently interviewed by Fightful Select, where he was asked about his future with Ring of Honor. In response, EC3 said that he would be “freed up” after the end of the year. He did not say that he was leaving Ring of Honor or if he would be working for the company on a reduced schedule. EC3 also mentioned that he was still on good terms with Impact Wrestling, though he was not interested in a long term deal.

EC3 is a very talented wrestler. Check out some of his post WWE work:

Opinion: This really is one of the weirder cases you’re going to see in wrestling and for the life of me I do not understand the way WWE treated EC3. He can go in the ring, talk and had a great look. You would think that alone would be good for a major future, but for some reason he was never given the chance. Now that being said, if EC3 is happier and more successful outside of WWE, good for him. It’s better to be a star elsewhere than sitting around in catering all day, so hopefully he gets to do whatever he wants.

What do you think of EC3? Where will he wind up? Let us know in the comments below.
