What could have been. There are a lot of wrestling promotions in the world today and some of them are a lot bigger than others. While there are so many places for a wrestler to work, the WWE is the ultimate goal for a lot of wrestlers. There are only so many spots available in the company though, meaning that it would take special circumstances for someone to turn one down. That was the case this year.

Over the last generation, there have been a lot of what if’s in wrestling. There are so many cases where fans have been left wondering what might have been if one wrestler had gone somewhere else or if something had been done differently. That can make for some very fun debates and now we have another wrestler getting to add to his lists of what if’s, which is getting quite long.

In a new interview with Pro Wrestling Sheet, James Storm revealed that he was supposed to rejoin WWE after WrestleMania 36 but the plans were canceled due to the Coronavirus. WWE initially contacted Storm around the Royal Rumble and made the decision to bring him in after WrestleMania. The company was forced to cut down their roster due to the Coronavirus, though Storm said there was still a chance that the two sides could work together in the future.

Storm did work a brief stint in NXT back in 2015. Check out what he could do under the WWE banner, plus the interview itself:

Opinion: I’m not sure if Storm is ever going to wind up in WWE again but if he doesn’t, he would be one of the best talents of this generation to not work with the promotion long term. Storm is a great wrestler who can talk as well as almost anyone when he gets on a roll. It would be nice to see him back on the big stage again but there is something to be said about one of the ones who got away.

What do you think of Storm? How would he do in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
