Closing out SmackDown in a big way. There are rare occasions where a wrestler will catch your attention and not let it go. Sometimes these wrestlers are the kind of people who aren’t going to last very long but if they stick around for awhile, they can become a big deal and perhaps even the top star on one of the shows. That is the case with a WWE name at the moment and that was on display Friday night.
Over the last year, almost no one in WWE has been hotter than Bray Wyatt as the Fiend. Wyatt’s alter ego has turned into one of the coolest and most dominant wrestlers WWE has seen in a very long time. He is the reigning Universal Champion and no one seems capable of slowing him down, let alone stopping him. That was clear on Friday when the Fiend was in action.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, the Fiend was in action after this week’s SmackDown when he defeated King Corbin. The match, with Fiend’s title on the line, lasted about five minutes and ended with Fiend hitting Sister Abigail for the pin. It also saw the red light, which was not present during Fiend’s most recent title defense. Corbin was seen on SmackDown, as he showed up to watch the main event and attacked Roman Reigns after the match was over.
He has a presence to him. Check out what happened once the show was over:
Opinion: It’s very rare to have a wrestler feel like an attraction but that’s what it feels like with Fiend. He is someone different than anyone who has been seen in a long time and that isn’t something you can buy. There are also fans who enjoy seeing Corbin getting a beating and that is always going to be entertaining. It’s going to take someone special to take the title off of Fiend and hopefully we get to see him holding the title for a long time to come.
