R-Truth has other stuff to do. Wrestling is a unique business and that is not always a good thing. While wrestlers can be stars while they are in the ring, there comes a point where they have to hang up the boots. The problem is that wrestlers often retire when they are in their thirties or forties and that leaves them a long time before retirement. Some wrestlers have a backup plan though and one is advancing their other career.

While there are so many wrestlers in WWE, very few of them have the comedic abilities of R-Truth. He has turned a simple idea into one of the longer tenures in WWE and that is quite the accomplishment. While R-Truth, 48 years old, has quite the wrestling resume, he is also an accomplished hip hop artist, which is a rather strong career in its own right. That secondary career has recently received a boost.

R-Truth has released a new music video for a song called Set It Off. The video has been released on the WorldStarHipHop YouTube channel, which is the same channel that featured Enzo Amore’s hip hop songs. R-Truth has been a hip hop artist for over twenty years and has performed his own theme music for most of his WWE career. WWE also showed a clip of the song in the preview for R-Truth’s upcoming WWE 24 episode, which will debut on February 27 after Super ShowDown.

The song is catchy. Check out the video and the WWE preview:

Opinion: It is very cool to see someone having a career outside of wrestling and it helps that R-Truth has put in so much time and effort. This isn’t the kind of thing that anyone can do and it helps that R-Truth is a talented performer outside of hip hop in general. Hopefully his career is a success as you can only wrestle for so long, but something like this could go on for a lot longer.
