Christian May Be Sticking Around WWE For A While

One more match? The Royal Rumble has come and gone and that means things are going to start get more interesting on the Road To WrestleMania. That is the kind of thing that can make the wrestling world that much more interesting in a hurry and it seems to be the case again. There were some awesome moments during the Royal Rumble match itself and now we know a bit more about one of the surprise.

As usual, this year’s Royal Rumble was powered by surprise entrants and returns, one of which came out of nowhere. That would be the return of Christian, who, outside of an angle disguised as a match in 2020, had not wrestled in about six and a half years. Christian was in the Royal Rumble for about eighteen minutes, suggesting that he was capable of being in the ring for a bit longer than expected. It turns out we might be seeing him again.

According to PWInsider.com, Christian has been medically cleared to continue to wrestle but will only be working a part time schedule with WWE. Christian was cleared to return to the ring just over a week ago following a trip to WWE’s medical office in Pittsburgh. Only a few people knew that Christian would be returning to the ring until he was seen warming up backstage at the Royal Rumble.

Opinion: I was stunned to see Christian come back and it was a rather nice feeling. Christian is someone who seemed to be wrapping up his career when he was forced to retire but it is great to see him getting one more chance to go out on his own terms. I know he won’t be around that much longer, but it is awesome to see something like this taking place again, especially with such a well done surprise.
