Why wait? We are less than five days away from Summerslam and that means things are starting to pick up. Summerslam is the second biggest show of the year and the show is going to be a big deal just by definition. With so much going on, it isn’t clear how things are going to go or how everything is going to fit into the card, but it seems that one match might not be taking place.
This week on SmackDown Live, Sami Zayn was in the ring talking about Aleister Black when Black appeared on the stage. Black said that their Summerslam match was taking place tonight instead of on Sunday and the match did indeed take place. Black won a short match clean with Black Mass. At the moment, there is no word on if the match will be taking place on Sunday or if it will be replaced by something else.
Black got what he wanted. Check out his request for a fight:
Opinion: I’m not sure what was up with this as there is little reason to have the match early instead of just waiting for Sunday. Maybe they’ll do a rematch there, but the match had a pretty definitive ending with Black kicking Zayn’s head off for the pin. It worked well enough, but it came out of nowhere and doesn’t seem to have much of a purpose other than to clear time off of the show.
Should the match happen at Summerslam too? What should the two of them do otherwise? Let us know in the comments below.
