One more detail. We’re less than a month away from Summerslam and most of the card is already set. With a few shows left though, we still have time to change up some of the matches, and that means we can add in a few more things to the show. One such change was teased last week on Monday Night Raw and with six days to go before the show, the change is official.
As announced on WWE.com, the Raw Women’s Title match between champion Becky Lynch and Natalya will now be a submission match. Natalya mentioned wanting to add the stipulation to the match last week on Monday Night Raw but did not think that Lynch was brave enough to accept. Both women use submission holds as their finishing maneuvers, with Lynch using the Disarm-Her and Natalya using the Sharpshooter.
These two don’t like each other. Check out their brawl from a few weeks back:
Opinion: I’m glad they made the announcement early instead of waiting through a big segment on Monday Night Raw. The stipulation was mentioned last week, which more or less guaranteed that it would be taking place. It’s better than what else we might be seeing as a regular version of the match is far from the most interesting thing in the world. This helps, though it can only do so much good.
Who wins the match? Is the stipulation a boost? Let us know in the comments below.
