There ain’t no stopping him now. Around the time of the 2016 WWE Draft, it was announced that various former wrestlers would be returning to the company to fill in some of the spots on a much larger roster. This made for an interesting set of options as there were several wrestlers who could have made a return. One of these wrestlers was Shelton Benjamin, who was announced as returning to “Smackdown Live”. This was almost immediately postponed though as Benjamin needed shoulder surgery.

According to Benjamin, he is now cleared to return from his injuries, effective immediately.

There is no word on when Benjamin will return to the ring or which brand he’ll appear on. Benjamin’s Twitter page doesn’t mention anything about WWE but there is no reason to believe he isn’t still with WWE. Benjamin last wrestled on WWE TV in 2010 at “Wrestlemania XXVI” in the Money in the Bank ladder match.

Opinion: There’s nothing wrong with some fresh talent though I’m not sure if Benjamin can do what he did back in the day. Back in the day he had more athleticism than he knew what to do with but time catches up to everyone at some point. As long as he doesn’t have the gold hair, things are looking up though.

Which brand do you hope Benjamin lands on? How well do you think he’ll do? Let us know in the comments below.
