It had been previously announced that the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania has been moved to the pre-show. However, WWE is trying to make the contest more appealing, and added some new names to the match tonight on “Smackdown Live.”

The Tag Team champions, The Usos, have been added to the match, along with Heath Slater, Rhyno, Tyler Breeze, Fandango, Chad Gable and Jason Jordan. This adds to already confirmed participants Sami Zayn, Mojo Rawley, Apollo Crews, Big Show, Curt Hawkins, Goldust, R-Truth, Primo, Epico, Curtis Axel, Jinder Mahal, Bo Dallas and Braun Strowman.

The Usos have been the “Smackdown Live” tag teams since last week’s show, when they defeated American Alpha to win the gold.

The addition of most of the tag team division to the Battle Royal brings the total number of participants up to 21, so far.

Editor’s Note:

I don’t like this decision at all. The “Smackdown Live” tag team championships need to be defended at WrestleMania. Especially when you have such capable teams as The Usos and American Alpha able to put on outstanding matches.
