Maybe not. Injuries are a weird thing in wrestling as you never know how long someone might be out of action. Someone might get hurt and stay on the shelf for a good while but then one day everything is fine. They are a tricky situation that have to be dealt with carefully. The same is true for news stories, as something might break and then new details emerging could change everything. That seems to be the case again.
We are less than a month away from WWE Tables, Ladders And Chairs and the card is starting to take shape. The biggest match on the Monday Night Raw side has been rumored to see WWE Champion Drew McIntyre defending against Braun Strowman, but then news broke of Strowman possibly having an injured knee. That would seem to throw a monkey wrench into the plans, but now things have been changed again.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the story of Strowman’s injury is going around backstage at WWE, but Strowman is not listed on the company’s internal injury list. At the moment, it is not clear whether Strowman will be able to wrestle at Tables, Ladders And Chairs. Should he not be able to, either Riddle, Keith Lee or AJ Styles, the three men included in this coming Monday’s triple threat match, will receive the show instead.
A healthy Strowman is a scary Strowman. Check out what he can do:
Opinion: This seems to be in a wait and see mode, which could make things a lot more interesting over the next few weeks. The suspension angle seems to be a way to have Strowman come back later and get the title shot, but that isn’t likely to happen if the knee injury is a reality. I could go for Strowman vs. McIntyre, but if that isn’t an option, there are other choices available.
