That explains it. Every now and then, you see something that comes out of nowhere and catches you attention for one reason or another. Sometimes it is an angle or a story, but other times it is a seemingly random push that comes out of nowhere and then winds up getting some momentum. That is the case at the moment in WWE but now we know a bit more.
Last week on SmackDown, Tamina and Natalya defeated Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. This is the high point of a push for Tamina, which has been been taking place over the last several weeks. Tamina has been pushed before, but never to this extent. Now we know what has caused WWE to go in this direction.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is pushing Tamina due to the strong reaction that she received at WrestleMania 37. Tamina received chants from the fans during a Tag Team Turmoil match on the first night, as well as during the Women’s Tag Team Title match on the second night. There is no word on what is next for either Tamina or the team, including how long they will hold the titles.
Tamina has been on a roll in recent months. Check out what she has been up to:
Opinion: I’m not sure if Tamina is going to be the next big thing in WWE but after so many years in the company, there is something to be said about giving her a chance. Sometimes you need to go with what is working and if this does not wind up working out for her, then WWE can simply pull the plug. Either way, at least she is getting a chance here, which is more than a lot of people ever receive.
What do you think of Tamina? How long will the push last? Let us know in the comments below.
