It’s something new. Back in 2020, WWE issued a new policy affecting the way its wrestlers could use the Twitch platform. This caused a backlash among wrestlers, who took issue with WWE controlling what they could and could not do outside of the ring. WWE has since relented and now the company seems to have embraced Twitch in a rather large way going forward.

WWE has announced that they have come to a long term deal with Twitch, which will include a weekly sidecast of Monday Night Raw and the return of the official WWE Twitch channel. The first edition of the sidecast aired during this week’s Monday Night Raw. There is no word on if WWE stars will appear on the show. The deal will also include the return of various Superstars’ channels.

Opinion: This is something that should open up some doors to some different fans and that is a good thing. If there is one thing that WWE has learned to do over the years, it is come up with a variety of ways to appeal to fans on different platforms. That is the kind of thing that has worked for them in a variety of ways and there is a good chance that it should work again with Twitch.
