Same time, next week. Last night’s episode of “Impact Wrestling” saw a major change for the company as new owners took over and changed a lot of what you would see on a weekly basis. There was new talent, new angles and a new direction but not exactly a new audience, which isn’t a good sign.
According to 411mania.com, last night’s audience
was virtually the same as the previous week’s drawing the same 0.07 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 292,000 viewers, down from last week’s 293,000. The show was heavily hyped and still really didn’t change in the slightest, which isn’t the most promising news.
Opinion: I’ve always thought the next week’s show tells you a lot more about the strength of this week’s show. How many people stick around and how many people are going to give the show a chance based on what they’ve heard? I think we’ll learn a lot more about “Impact Wrestling” with the next numbers but it’s not great to hear that not a lot of people cared about the relaunch.
