That explains a bit. With the Coronavirus spreading all over the world at a rapid pace, it is not clear how long it is going to be before things are going to get back to normal. That is the kind of thing that shakes up a lot of things and you never know what is going to happen day to day. That has been the case in the wrestling world as well, and one change caught fans’ eyes on Wednesday.
AEW has not been around very long yet and it is very interesting to see them trying things for the first time. That was scheduled to be the case next week as they aired Blood & Guts, their version of WarGames, on Dynamite. The match is still taking place, but not as originally scheduled. AEW made things a little less clear this week on Dynamite, but it turns out they were covering themselves more than anything else.
This week on Dynamite, it was announced that Blood & Guts, along with other matches, will take place on the next Dynamite, though no date was given for when that show would be taking place. According to PWInsider.com, the show is still planned for next week, though AEW did not want to announce a date in case the show has to be canceled. There are no plans to cancel the show at the moment, but AEW was giving themselves a cover just in case the plans changed over the next seven days.
Blood & Guts is looking good. Check out some of the biggest moments building the show on this week’s Dynamite:
Opinion: This is something that makes sense and it does offer AEW a bit of a breather in case something goes south. It would not be surprising to see everything get worse in the next week, and it is nice to see AEW understand something like that. I’m hoping that the show takes place next week as it is looking awesome, but it is smart to give yourself a cover just in case.
