They certainly didn’t waste time. Yesterday, news started coming out that WWE was putting together a new wrestling show. There weren’t many details to the whole thing, but the name “Worlds Collide” suggested that we were going to be getting something with multiple shows coming together. Now we already know something about it, and it’s actually a pretty cool idea.

As announced on WWE.com, the World Collide Tournament will take place at Royal Rumble Axxess over the course of two days. There will be five superstars each from NXT, NXT UK and 205 Live with matches taking place between brands. The winner will receive a title shot against the champion of their choosing. The names have been announced for the tournament, with one listed as To Be Named. This was originally Humberto Carrillo, who was removed from the field, possibly due to moving to 205 Live soon, according to Wrestlinginc.com.

Here are the announced participants:

From NXT
• Adam Cole
• Velveteen Dream
• Dominik Dijakovic
• Keith Lee
• Otis Dozovic

From NXT UK
• Mark Andrews
• Tyler Bate
• Travis Banks
• Jordan Devlin
• Zack Gibson

From 205 Live
• Cedric Alexander
• Tony Nese
• Drew Gulak
• TJP
• A Superstar to be named
Since he’s leaving, we might as well take a look. Check out this match from the very talented Carrillo:

Humberto Carrillo vs. Jaxson Ryker: WWE NXT, Sept. 19, 2018

Opinion: There’s certainly some serious talent in there and that’s the kind of thing that can make this a lot of fun. Last year’s series of tournaments at Axxess at least made the matches that much more interesting and given how little these matches should mean, it’s nice to have them turned into something more important. Maybe we’ll even get some good action, which is always nice.
