The site has confirmed that WWE are testing the ‘Raw’ roster for mumps after originally testing some of the talent for viral meningitis as in the process, they discovered that the illness was instead believed to be the mumps.
For those unfamiliar with what mumps is, it is an airborne virus that spreads through saliva, touching, coughing and sneezing. Symptoms can usually take 16-18 days to appear. From there, it can take several days to a week to disappear, if not longer.
It should be noted that if WWE tests a talent, they cannot work until the results of the test are back. If they are intent on testing the majority of the active ‘Raw’ roster, this may be quite damaging.
It is unknown at this time whether ‘Smackdown Live’ talent will be tested for the virus. AJ Styles reportedly had stomach pains, though this was likely a cover-up for the reveal he will compete at ‘TLC’ this weekend. Owens also left the tour, as we reported earlier.
Stay tuned to Wrestling Rumors for updates as more information becomes available about this ongoing concern.
With Kane back, he is set to headline ‘TLC’ alongside The Miz, Braun Strowman, Sheamus and Cesaro when they compete against Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Kurt Angle following an update we reported earlier. Check out the following video to see how the WWE Universe reacted to Kane’s return.
