Rumor: Who Is the Mystery Figure in the Kurt Angle Storyline?

The last few weeks for Kurt Angle have been embroiled in controversy with the texts he and ‘Raw’ commentator Corey Graves have been receiving. The WWE Universe have been debating who the person is. Next week live on ‘Raw‘ we are scheduled to find out, but that hasn’t stopped rumors from continuing to develop.

Rumors are circulating via IWNerd and Wrestling News on who the mystery figure is in the Kurt Angle storyline. The answer may already be out there.

If there was any doubt as to WWE’s dedication of the storyline, they ended the latest edition of ‘Raw’ with Kurt Angle speaking on the phone to this figure, saying (and we quote) “Why don’t you come here next week and we’ll tell the whole world together… I love you.”

Pro Wrestling Sheet writer James McKenna has been explaining through his Twitter vigoriously that this storyline does not have to do with a potential Kurt Angle vs. Stephanie McMahon and Triple H feud for a rumored ‘SummerSlam’ match as many expect. This would play off a previous storyline the men were involved in many years ago.

Just so we can squash this one more time, any rumor of Angle & HHH having a feud over the next few months is….let's just say illegitimate.

Some are expecting former TNA president Dixie Carter to be his mistress based on her recent WWE focused tweets and appearing for Angle on his WWE 24 following ‘Raw’ this past week.

These also seem to suggest that McKenna is hinting at American Alpha member Jason Jordan as his illegitimate son. Others estimate it could be Chad Gable, though the second tweet seems to lean more towards Jordan.

This could take the storyline in a number of directions for ‘SummerSlam’ and perhaps even ‘Survivor Series’ as American Alpha are members of the ‘Smackdown Live’ roster. It is also possible that WWE have a second ‘Superstar Shake-Up‘ following ‘SummerSlam.’

Personally, I don’t know what to think of the entire situation. It can go in so many directions, but I just hope WWE is planning carefully ahead if they want to do something cross-brand. I don’t like them having both brands cross one another. They should be separate entities.
