They’re running out of barriers to break down. The Women’s Revolution is coming up on two years at this point and I don’t think anyone could have expected it to go this well. A women’s match has already main evented a pay per view and now there’s a chance they could have their own version of one of WWE’s biggest matches of the year.

Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match: SmackDown LIVE, June 27, 2017

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by way of Wrestlinginc.com, there has been talk of running a women’s Royal Rumble at the pay per view of the same name this coming January. In addition to the discussion in the Newsletter, Becky Lynch was recently interviewed and spoke about the same match, which she would like to see.

Opinion: This could be awesome if it’s done right. One of the best things about all these first time ever matches is that they’ve actually been entertaining. I would much rather actually have these matches be good and not the focus of a show rather than being bad and getting the top spot. Much to my surprise though, these matches have managed to do both, which is quite the accomplishment.

Do you think there will be a women’s Royal Rumble? How many participants do you think it would have? Let us know in the comments below.
