OVW will no longer serve as TNA’s primary developmental territory, according to a report from F4WOnline.

The two companies have been working together since 2011, with OVW serving as TNA’s official developmental and training facility under the guidance of OVW owner Danny Davis.

A reason for the termination of the deal was not given, although it has been suggested the company’s financial situation played a part. The move was somewhat foresighted in a recent press release highlighting the company’s new 24/7 programming initiative. In the release, it was announced that Universal Studios would be the main hub for TNA talent development, with the studio becoming “‘the primary training facility for TNA talent moving forward, providing the opportunity to train and develop talent on an ongoing basis”.

OVW had previously served as the developmental facility for WWE, producing talents such as Brock Lesnar,  Randy Orton, Dave Batista and John Cena.
