AJ Styles to Defend TNA Championship Outside of TNA

According to PWInsider, TNA will be letting its World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles defend his title outside of the company. The company will do this in order to further the storyline of Styles’ walking out on TNA as its champion. Some of the locations that TNA may send Styles to include The Great Muta’s promotion in Japan as well as AAA, a promotion in Mexico.

PWInsider is also reporting that during his defenses, Styles will claim to be the real TNA World Heavyweight Champion, which will eventually lead to his return to the company. When he returns, it will likely result in a Champion vs. Champion Match somewhere down the line.
