WrestleZone.com’s Justin LaBar is reporting  that Billy Corgan, frontman of the popular rock band Smashing Pumpkins, is rumored to be interested in purchasing TNA from the Carter family.

Corgan is well-known to be a wrestling fan within the rock circuit, and even owns his own promotion, Resistance Pro. The company is based in Chicago, and was started in 2011. Long ago, he even appeared at an ECW show while wielding a guitar as a weapon.

LaBar notes that a few sources within the company have noted that he is a possible candidate to purchase the company.

As we reported earlier, the Carter family has been entertaining offers to sell the company, which saw just over 2,500 attend its signature pay-per-view, Bound For Glory.
