WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler was interviewed this week by 97.3 FM in Atlantic City, N.J. to discuss WWE events in Philadelphia. But the former champion also touched on other topics, which can be found below.

On what his work schedule is like:

“My schedule is ridiculous and it doesn’t end. No less than five days a week, I am not home. Whether I’m doing appearances at WWE shows, live events, media days, you name it. So Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, I’m gone. Period. Sometimes you’re home on Wednesday and Thursday, sometimes you’re not. But if you are, sometimes you have to do things like this, like an interview on the phone on your day off. It just goes to show how much the Superstars want to promote these shows, want people to be out of their seats.”

What it was like to work with AJ Lee:

“You never know. It’s weird. Some people you’re friends with, some people you’re not friends with. When I got put together with AJ, she was someone I said ‘hi’ and ‘bye’ to at work, didn’t really know that well. Over the course of the time we were together we actually started to get some chemistry going, we would do some media days together, we would be able to read each others thoughts and it forced us to become friends. And when we did, we both realized we both wanted to do this since we were five years old. We both loved the business.”

He was also asked about CM Punk’s departure and why it happened, to which he said:

“Even if I did know, I wouldn’t even try and speculate. Honestly, I have no idea. He was someone like Daniel Bryan and like myself who wanted to be the best, wanted be the best for the WWE  and do what’s best and I have no idea. I wouldn’t possibly speculate because I wouldn’t want someone to speculate why I was gone. When we got in the ring, we went out to push each other to make it seem like ‘I dare someone to try and have a match that follows us.’ And I appreciated that attitude, I don’t know what happened.”

The entire interview, where he also discusses winning the Money in the Bank briefcase, can be heard here.

Editor’s Note

Ziggler making the headlines today. I always wondered what his relationship with AJ was, as they sold it phenomenally on television. Good to hear about their passion for the industry.
