As we previously reported, there is a proposed deal on the table between Sting and WWE. Though, once again, it is noted that pen has not been put to paper on the reported deal. Despite the uncertainty of Sting’s WWE status, it appears that WWE will be utilizing him down the road.

WrestlingDVDNews.com recently broke news that WWE will indeed be making a DVD on Sting. The DVD and Blu-ray set will be released on September 23 in the United States and internationally on September 29. Based on the synopsis, it appears that it will be a match compilation.

Below is the synopsis:

“The Sting DVD chronicles his entire career from his Mid-South days as part of the Blade-Runners (with Ultimate Warrior) through his last WCW match vs. Ric Flair on the very last episode of WCW Monday Nitro (3/26/01).

The video features more than two dozen matches in total, many never before released on DVD. This includes a combination of well-known memorable matches, as well as some fairly obscure matches including encounters with Vader, Cactus Jack, Hulk Hogan, and Ric Flair. In addition, packages throughout the title will help tell the story of Sting’s career evolution.”

Though, that is not all. The website’s report also notes that WWE may also utilize Sting in the upcoming “WWE 2K15” video game. If included, he will most likely be a pre-order bonus, similar to The Ultimate Warrior in “WWE 2K14.”

Editor’s Note

While I am sick of Sting to WWE news, I can definitely get behind a Sting DVD and video game appearance.
