Alicia Fox is one of the newest members of the cast of “Total Divas,” and has had an increased presence on WWE television as a result. She recently talked with the Miami Herald about her escapades and more. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.

Fox detailed how she was signed by WWE and how far she has come:

“Everyone comes in differently, but going into the training and developmental was such a great learning experience for me,” Fox said. “I would never trade that time and the things I learned, in and out of the ring, for anything. When I first got signed, I was 19. So WWE has really given me the chance to grow from a relative child. I think I’ve really transitioned into a young woman. I feel like I really matured on different levels being with WWE. I just feel like I don’t know how I would be able to take this opportunity and realize what a great blessing this is if I was starting from the very bottom.”

She discussed her relationship with fellow reality-show newbie Paige:

“We have a lot of respect for each other in and out of the ring,” Fox said. “We work really well together. I really enjoy being around her. It’s strange. Some people you’re like, ‘Yep, you’re my sister.’ We just click. It’s really important too because I think it reflects on our work in the ring. It makes it so much better.”

One of the mainstream criticisms of the show has been how its storylines often translate to WWE television on “RAW” or “Smackdown.” Fox touched on this as well:

“I think they have to go hand-in-hand,” she said. “There usually was one diva’s match. Not too long after the show there was two diva matches or divas in a lot of segments, which is great. Even still, there is only so much TV time. There are so many talented people that I work with. These talented people at any time can go on Twitter or Instagram and communicate or speak, which really helps because in wrestling we sometimes don’t have the opportunity to talk. We just have wrestle. It’s communicating with athletics. E! and WWE TV has to go hand-in-hand because I think it enhances our divas’ division an interesting way.”

Crazy to think she’s been with the company nearly 10 years. Wow.
