The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided an update on Jerry Lawler’s health and status as commentator of “Monday Night Raw.” As previously reported, Lawler was admitted to a hospital recently as he battles a case of diverticulitis.

Lawler was reportedly released from Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee on Jan. 5 and is recovering well. “The King” was admitted to the facility on New Year’s Eve with diverticulitis.

Due to his illness, Lawler has been replaced on WWE programming by Booker T. He will hopefully return for the “Royal Rumble” PPV on Jan. 25, but may be kept off of “RAW” until then. Booker T will continue to fill in for the WWE Hall of Famer as he recovers.

Editor’s Note:
Get well Jerry.
