It has been assumed for some time that WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley is retired from in-ring work in professional wrestling, but earlier this week the “Hardcore Legend” confirmed via his official Twitter account that he was done, and would have liked to work a final match against CM Punk.

In his DVD “For All Mankind – The Life and Career of Mick Foley” the 3-time WWE Champion once again confirmed his departure from in-ring action, lamenting in detail on all the times he could have walked away on a high note.

“There’s still a lot of ways that I can be a vital part of [WWE] but I’m really relieved that my days as an in-ring performer are done. The door is finally closed. Maybe not at the right time – I should have shut it myself before it was shut on me – but I’m glad it’s closed.”
